Lotufo & Cordelli Advogados was established in 2020 by the handshake of two lawyers whose academic and professional lives walked side by side for more than one decade.

João Luís Zaratin Lotufo graduated from PUC-SP in 2010, after which he completed his master’s degree at this same university, having obtained the title of Specialist in Civil Law from the Università di Camerino, Italy (2015). From the very beginning he worked alongside alongside his father, Professor Renan Lotufo, becoming his partner in 2011, when he started to practice law and provide consultancy in Civil Law, with emphasis on Family Law, Contracts, Civil Liability and Arbitration.

André Cordelli Alves graduated in 2007, also from PUC-SP, after which he obtained a master’s degree in civil law, from this same university, having completed and defended his PhD thesis in International Private Law in 2019 at Universidade de São Paulo – USP. His professional career began early, in the second year of university, having worked as a lawyer in renowned offices in Private Law. In 2014 he founded Facchini, Cordelli & Yoshino Barristers along with three other partners.

After a few years collaborating with their respective partners at the time, but still sharing a professional and academic life with many similarities and synergies, André Cordelli and João Lotufo decided to unite their teams to expand their range of activities. This strategy is promising not only due to the expertise of each one in their respective areas of activity, but also due to the partnership established with CMA Advogados whose founding partner, Claudio Manoel Alves, has more than three decades of experience in Law, besides having been a professor of Civil Law at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo, and a member of Ministério Público Federal in São Paulo.

Therefore, the union of partners with a verticalized performance in their respective areas, along with the experience and maturity brought by CMA Advogados, is the driving force that leverages the main goals of the firm, namely, the client service given to those seeking a closer and more human relationship and the excellence in the provision of legal services.
